چکیده
Purpose This paper aims to review the studies on intersection control with connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). Design/methodology/approach The most seminal recent research in this area is reviewed. study specifically focuses two categories: CAV trajectory planning joint control. Findings It found that there a lack of widely recognized benchmarks area, which hinders validation demonstration new studies. Originality/value In review, authors focus methodological approaches taken empower CAVs. hope present could shed light state-of-the-art methods, gaps future directions.

متن کاملDistributed Receding Horizon Control of Connected Automated Vehicles with Discontinuous-gear Transmission
Connected automated vehicles (CAVs) have the potential to significantly benefit the road transportation. This paper presents a distributed control algorithm for a platoon of CAVs with discontinuous gear transmissions using the receding horizon optimization. A directed graph is used to describe the underlying communication topology among vehicles. Each vehicle is modeled as a third-order nonline...
متن کاملModel Predictive Climate Control of Connected and Automated Vehicles for Improved Energy Efficiency
This paper considers an application of model predictive control to automotive air conditioning (A/C) system in future connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) with battery electric or hybrid electric powertrains. A control-oriented prediction model for A/C system is proposed, identified, and validated against a higher fidelity simulation model (CoolSim). Based on the developed prediction model, ...
متن کاملA Next-Generation Intersection Control Algorithm for Autonomous Vehicles
1 A reservation-based autonomous intersection control system, named Autonomous Control of 2 Urban TrAffic (ACUTA) is presented in this paper. ACUTA manages autonomous vehicles in 3 the vicinity of an intersection to allow them to pass the intersection without any conflict and few 4 stops. To address the operational issues identified in previous studies on reservation-based 5 autonomous intersec...
